Ran Krauss and Meir Kliner are two Israeli entrepreneurs who decided to find a way to help miners, port managers and farmers get intelligent data about their businesses. They started a company in Israel called Airobotics that manufactures self-flying drones. Since 2014, the company has been operational 24-hours a day. Their drones are providing their clients with in depth information that in the past would have cost a lot of time, money and manpower to gather.

In today’s technological industry, drones are used by many large firms for day to day operations. Miners have been using drone technology combined with Artificial Intelligence to survey mines. Emergency workers in Puerto Rico used drones to assess the damage caused by Hurricane Maria.  Drones play a huge role for many businesses across many industries.

Krauss stated that drones allow people and businesses to carry out automated tasks. Even though drones are more cost-effective than humans, they have some drawbacks. For example, drone’s batteries are limited to normally 20-30 minutes. Also, most Drones need a human operator to manage them.  Airobotics has created fully automated drones that do not require operators to fly.  Instead, they are fully automated.  Also, the battery life on their drones is not a problem as they have replacements ready on demand. Each of their drones has a personal docking station with a robotic arm to swap out the batteries and cameras.

One of the biggest challenges Airobotics faced was to find a way to get a drone to land successfully in a box while in automatic flying mode. This has been a challenge for many organizations working on drone automation.  Airobotics believes that they have solved the problem with their new drone technology. The whole idea for Krauss, Kliner, and their team is to make the usage of drones easier, automated and used throughout the world.

Krauss recently said in a recent interview that if you want to map something, using Airobotics drones will get you the results you need. He explained that users no longer have to worry about any complications and confusion with flying or operating a drone. The drone does all of the work for you completely automated. All that is left to do is to extract the data, analyze it, and use it in any way you choose.

Several mining companies have become clients of Airobotics and use their drones to gather data. So rather than send a human being to do manual surveys and return with information on inventory, stockpiles and more, the Airobotics drone does this automatically. This protects workers from a potentially dangerous job, as well as saving time and money.
